Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs provides the overall strategic direction for Orange County’s future – including the development of a comprehensive and far-reaching Sustainability Plan – and serves as CEO for the organization, including administration of an annual budget of more than $4.1 billion, with 88 divisions and 7,658 employees.

Today, Orange County is home to more than 1.2 million residents, and welcomes more than 72 million visitors annually. Mayor Jacobs is committed to transparency, accountability and is a champion for engaging Orange County citizens in their local government.

Through eight years as County Commissioner for District 1 and five years as the County’s leader, Mayor Jacobs has improved the region’s quality of life and has initiated change through her “neighbors helping neighbors philosophy” that has carried into important focus areas including youth mental health, solutions on domestic violence and child abuse, and a system of care to tackle the issue of homelessness. Mayor Jacobs is also focused on streamlining the regulatory process for businesses to create jobs and diversify Orange County’s economy.
