On March 20, Orange County Government will host the 2009 Redevelopment Workshop. Workshop facilitators will present recommendations on economic recovery, completing residential and non-residential development projects, and financing redevelopment, as well as local case studies of successful redevelopment projects. The workshop will kick off with remarks by Mayor Richard Crotty and presentations from expert speakers in the areas of economic and market forecasting, real estate, land development and government.
Event Dates and Times:
Friday, March 20, 2009 from 8:15 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Location:
Renaissance Senior Center at Curry Ford Park
3800 Econlockhatchee Trail, Orlando
Background:
Orange County currently is pursuing a variety of redevelopment activities to maintain and enhance Orange County’s established residential communities despite current economic conditions. Last year, Orange County Government hosted the successful “Collaborate 2008: Orange County Infill and Redevelopment Conference,” and this year’s follow-up event has a new focus on doing redevelopment in difficult economic times.
