Orange County Mayor Richard Crotty brought together community stakeholders to discuss public health issues surrounding the recent developments with the Swine Flu. The meeting included updates from The Orange County Health Department, Orange County Emergency Management and Orange County Emergency Medical Services.  Representatives from the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, Orange County Public Schools, area hospitals, theme parks and tourism groups participated in the discussion.

Orange County is open for business and is encouraging citizens and visitors to take precautions as they do during the normal flu season.  "We are well prepared to manage any outbreak should the need arise," said Mayor Crotty.  "There is no cause for alarm."

Orange County's Emergency Operation Center is partially activated at level 2 and is staying in close contact with the State of Florida, various health agencies and surrounding counties.
