Swimming at Orange County's Downey Park Has Been Suspended

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Swimming at the bathing beach at Orange County Parks and Recreation Divisions Downey Park has been suspended.  The Florida Department of Health has recommended closing the bathing beach due to high bacteria levels found in the water. 

The park and the Splash Pad at Downey Park will remain open.  Weekly testing will be conducted by Orange County's Environmental Protection Division for the Health Department to determine when bathing beach will reopen for swimming.  It could be as early as Wednesday June 24th.
