"It will never happen to me"

This attitude must be overcome because unfortunately, someday it may very likely happen here. Your ability to survive and recover depends on your planning!

Disasters most susceptible to us in Florida include but are not limited to Hurricanes, Severe Thunder Storms, Tornadoes, Wild Fires, Hazardous Materials incidents, Terrorism activity, and other weather related emergencies (excessive heat or cold).

In a continuing effort to provide services beyond conventional limits to all segments of our community:

We offer presentations on "Disaster Preparedness" to assist in the development of emergency plans for families and businesses. These programs are given through Homeowners Associations, Civic Groups, Schools, and many other organizations within Orange County.

We conduct emergency management training classes for emergency response personnel on a continual basis. We also sponsor, assist and directly participate in a variety of emergency management training exercises in conjunction with local, state, and federal, agencies. These classes and exercises ensure that the emergency response personnel in Orange County are prepared to respond to any type of emergency or disaster we may be called upon to handle.

Our Community Awareness Presentations Consist of:
