Crisis Assistance Program

Provides limited monetary assistance to Orange County Citizens who are experiencing a sudden, temporary financial emergency, but will be self-sufficient within the following month.

Assistance may include payment of mortgage, rent, lot rent or utilities, as well as referrals to other Community services.

Services

Financial assistance with mortgage, rent
Financial assistance with Utilities – Electric, Gas, Water, Heating Oil
Limited Food and Incidentals as needed
Transportation via local bus service
Referrals to other appropriate Community Resources where indicated
Provides linkages to internal programs of Youth & Family Services Division

Eligibility Requirements

Documentation of Legal Residency in Orange County
Have an Unforeseen Event that is the Direct Cause of the emergency need
Insufficient resources to meet emergency need
Emergency need can be resolved with limited financial assistance
