In January 2011 Mayor Teresa Jacobs proposed organizational changes for Orange County Government. These changes were based on expectations expressed by the citizens in favor of government efficiency, accountability, honesty and transparency.
As a consequence, Mayor Jacobs placed the electorate, the citizens we serve, at the top of the organizational chart. In addition, the Orange County Government structure was flattened through elimination of one Deputy County Administrator position and two Assistant County Administrator positions.
The Office of Public Engagement will make certain that Orange County citizens remain fully engaged in their local government.
