The transportation network serving the Innovation Way region will include a variety of transportation facilities including existing and proposed roadways.
When property owners and developers approach Orange County to rezone or develop portions of the Innovation Way region a series of County processes are in place which include:
This ensures the necessary roadway infrastructure is included as part of the overall development approval.
Orange County has also updated the Transportation Element of the Comprehensive Plan to reflect the future roadway and transit needs for providing policies, goals and objectives for Orange County's commitment to this region.
The roadways listed below are a result of public/private partnership agreements developed through the land development process listed above for key elements of the Innovation Way transportation network:
“RCA” stands for Roadway Conceptual Analysis. It’s the process through which Orange County confirms the need to improve a road. At the heart of all Orange County RCAs you’ll find a fascinating mixture of scientific data and feedback from residents. With the approval of the Board of County Commissioners, an RCA project moves forward with final design, right-of-way acquisition and construction.
