The Zoning Division is responsible for developing and implementing County zoning regulations. Some types of applications and reviews that this Division is responsible for are commercial and industrial projects, structural permits, land uses, signs and billboards, fences, garage sales, additions and home occupations. Zoning also provides staff support to the Board of Zoning Adjustment, an appointed board that hears requests for variances, special exceptions and appeals.
The mission of the Zoning Division is to support the successful development of business and residential communities in Orange County through the equitable implementation of progressive zoning regulations that benefit and protect citizens of Orange County.
