Enabling Legislation:
Creation of an Affordable Housing Advisory Board was authorized by Section 420.9076, Florida Statutes. On November 3, 1992, the Board of County Commissioners adopted Ordinance No. 92-34 which created the Affordable Housing Advisory Board. On February 20, 2001, the Board adopted Ordinance No. 2001-05 changing the membership from nine to seven members; revising the categories of membership; and amending the advisory board's powers and duties. On May 20, 2008, the Board adopted Ordinance No. 2008-07, changing the membership from seven to eleven members; revising the categories of membership; changing the reporting requirements; and amending the advisory board's powers and duties
