Enabling Legislation: Resolution No. 2001-M-14 was adopted by the Board of County Commissioners on May 15, 2001.
Membership: The Public Works Advisory Board shall consist of seven members, including six members from among such disciplines as traffic engineering, geotechnical, storm water, and general consulting disciplines, the construction industry, the development industry, and one citizen at large.

Term Length: 2 Years
Term Of Office: Four of the original members shall be appointed for terms of one year and three members shall be appointed for terms of two years. Thereafter, all appointments shall be for a term of two years.
Powers and Duties: The Public Works Advisory Board shall review those items submitted to it by the Director of the Public Works Department or his designee in the various areas of responsibility of the Public Works Department, including but not limited to road construction, road maintenance, storm water, transportation planning, transportation engineering, drainage, street lighting, and other functions which are the responsibility of the Department as may be periodically assigned.
