Butler Chain of Lakes Advisory Board

Enabling Legislation:
Special Acts, Chapter 63-1711, took effect August 2, 1963. The Act was amended by chapter 85-474, Laws of Florida, effective June 12, 1985 increasing the membership. The Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution No. 2006-M-20 on March 21, 2006, changing the name of the advisory board from "Windermere Water and Navigation Control District Advisory Board" to "Butler Chain of Lakes Advisory Board."

Membership:
The advisory board shall consist of five members. Members are appointed by the District Commissioner and approved by the Board of County Commissioners from among the residents of the district.

Term Length: 4 Years

Powers and Duties:
The purpose of the Butler Chain of Lakes Advisory Board is to assist and advise the County on matters relating to the Windermere Water and Navigation Control Taxing District.
