Childhood Drowning Prevention (Health and Family Services)

The Childhood Drowning Prevention Task Force was established in 2004 to increase water safety awareness in the Central Florida area. Orange County offers seminars and trainings, as well as, informational materials that teach residents how to keep children safe in & around water.

Throughout the year, classes are offered in Family & Consumer Sciences, Parenting, Family Financial Management, Agribusiness, Landscape Design and Maintenance, and much more.

Early Childhood Development Program/Pre-K (Head Start)

Orange County Head Start is a nationally recognized Program of Excellence that provides early childhood pre-school to 3 to 5 year old children from low-income families. Head Start offers comprehensive services that benefit the whole family, so children leave Head Start "ready-to-learn" and families become more self-sufficient.

Environmental Health (Mosquito Control)

History Center

The Orange County Regional History Center houses the collections of the Historical Society of Central Florida. Located in the restored 1927 Orange County Courthouse in downtown Orlando, the History Center is continuously distinguished as the area's "Best Museum", providing a variety of dynamic changing and permanent exhibits.
