Office on Aging (Health & Family Services)

An Office on Aging, located within the Health & Family Services Department, provides staff support to the Commission on Aging. The Commission on Aging identifies Orange County resources dedicated to older adults and works with local, state and national partners to create an elder-friendly community. By promoting partnerships with organizations, identifying needed programs, and linking services to the citizens, the Commission's goal is to empower older adults to maintain their independence and quality of life within their home community.

Senior Programs (Health & Family Services)

The Health & Family Services Department provides funding for variety of programs and services for seniors throughout Orange County including: congregate meals, fitness & exercise programs, transportation, exercise, arts & crafts, and much more. Programs and services are made available though the Citizens' Commission for Children and Community Action.

Senior TV Programs (Orange TV & Vision TV)

Orange TV (Brighthouse 199/Comcast 9) & Vision TV (Brighthouse 198/Comcast 98) offers locally produced quality programming dedicated to senior interests and concerns. Of special interest, is the "Vital Living Block" on Vision TV - a 4 hour block that features shows including: "Active Lifestyles Magazine", "Vital Living Forum," "Cardiotap Exercise,"  and "Aging in America." For times and dates of upcoming shows, check out the Orange TV & Vision TV schedules at www.visiontv.us.  You can also watch our programs live - through our streaming web site.

Veteran's Services (Youth & Family Services)

Veterans Services provides assistance to all former or present members of the Armed Forces of the United States, their spouses and/or their dependents in preparing claims for compensation, hospitalization, vocational training and other benefits to which they are entitled. Recreation & Group Activities (Parks & Recreation)

The Parks and Recreation Department provides a variety of senior activities and group events at the Marks Street Senior Recreation Complex. Hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday thru Saturday.  Closed on Sundays except for reservations.  Call (407) 245-1066 for more information.

The Parks and Recreation Department also provides a variety of senior activities and group events at the Renaissance Senior Center.  Hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday thru Saturday, and 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.  Call (407) 254-9070 for more information.
