The Community Connections Workshop Series has been an Orange County Neighborhood Services Division initiative since 2003. The workshop series was developed in response to feedback provided by Orange County Citizens that attend the annual Orange County Community Conference; neighborhood organization representatives indicated that they would like other opportunities to attend community leadership training outside of the once-a-year conference.

Beginning in 2005, the City of Orlando ~ Office of Neighborhood & Community Affairs and the Orange County Regional History Center became valued partners delivering and presenting the monthly workshops.

The Community Connections Workshops Series consists of twelve workshops usually held on the second Saturday of every month at the Orange County Regional History Center (January through December), generally beginning at 10 a.m. and ending by 12 noon.  Workshops are designed to engage, inform, and educate citizens; featuring varied topics of interest to neighborhood organizations and residents alike. The workshops are a great opportunity for neighborhood leaders to interact and learn from one another.
