Could your neighborhood use a little spring-cleaning? Join neighborhoods from all over Orange County participating in the Annual Orange County Spring Clean. Working together, we can all improve our neighborhoods and our community!

As a Spring Clean participant, your neighborhood will receive the following Clean Up Kit:

  • An easy to follow guide for organizing a neighborhood clean up.
  • Materials to use for your neighborhood clean up, including gloves, bags, a disposable camera, and a checklist
  • Prizes include awards to neighborhoods for the best before and after photos, most trash picked up, and the most volunteers recruited
  • A certificate recognizing your neighborhood's participation in Orange County Spring Clean

Your neighborhood will be responsible for doing the following:

  • At least one neighborhood representative must attend the Annual Orange County Spring Clean Kickoff Workshop
  • Planning all aspects of your "neighborhood clean up day" and registering your clean up with Orange County Neighborhood Services Division 
  • Holding a Clean Up Event in your neighborhood sometime during the designated clean up month (usually April) 
  • Reporting your results, along with photos, to the Neighborhood Services Division by the program deadline

Recognition and prizes will be awarded at the annual Orange County Community Conference! (usually held second Saturday of July)

  • February 25, 2010 ~ Attend Spring Clean Kickoff Workshop
  • March 31, 2010 ~ Plan & Register your "neighborhood clean up event"
  • April 2010 ~ Designated Clean Up Month: Hold your neighborhood clean up day
  • May 28, 2010 ~ Report results to Neighborhood Services Division
