All female inmates, including female juveniles who are being tried as adults, are held in this facility. The Female Detention Center became operational in March of 2003. It is a 652-bed facility consisting of both max-level lockdown cells and direct-supervision dormitories.

Horizon Facility

The Horizon Facility is a state-of-the art direct supervision jail which was designed to hold 768 inmates.

Genesis Facility

The Genesis Facility was opened in 1988 and is the oldest of the secured, direct supervision jails at the 33rd Street Corrections Complex. Genesis currently houses 220 inmates. 

Phoenix Facility

The Phoenix Facility was completed in 1993 and has a design capacity of 288 inmates.
