The Advocacy Committee was created in order to serve as a focal point and conduit for timely information on local, state and national legislation, public policy issues and funding opportunities for arts education by working with community and statewide advocacy organizations.

Bertica Cabrera Morris, Chair

A resident of Orange County for over 25 years, Bertica is a consultant and restaurateur. Her experience includes 11 years in Orange County Public Schools in governmental relations and school planning, and service as the Assistant to the Orange County Chairman for Community Affairs and Public Relations. She is president of BCM Consulting, and owns two local restaurants. She is also a member of the Valencia Community College Board of Trustees, having been appointed by Governor Bush.
