If any work is commenced without a permit, the penalty will be double the permit fee or $100.00, whichever is greater, and this penalty will be in addition to the permit fee which will be assessed.

1. No refunds will be given on a submittal fee, license, or recording fee, unless issued in error by the County.
2. The fee for refunding original permit fees will be a minimum of $30.00 or 1/3 of the permit fee, whichever is greater, unless the permit is issued in error by the County. However, no refund shall be made on any permit that was issued six months or more. A written request for refund is required.
3. No refunds will be made on Engineering, Environmental Protection, Fire, Health, Planning, Utilities Engineering & Construction or Zoning fees. Refer to individual department pages of the directory for refund policy on those fees. No refund shall be made on any permit on which construction was begun.
