The Information Technology Section (IT) assembles, installs, maintains, upgrades and provides customer support for hardware and software; assists with product selection; maintains Departmental inventory; and provides equipment for special events. All Departmental hardware and software requests are routed through the IT Section for initial approval. IT coordinates with the County's Information Systems and Services Department as necessary for network support and special projects.

Staff serves as a technical resource to system users, serves as a liaison between the Department and other agencies or internal departments on technical issues and concerns; and researches and evaluates new technologies, including interacting with vendors and support personnel.
