The United Way 2-1-1 & Elder Helpline is a free, one-stop source for referrals to approximately 800 health and human service agencies and 2,000 programs and services in Central Florida. Calls are answered 24-hours-per-day by trained, bilingual operators.

50+ Survival Guide

The 50+ Survival Guide publishes the Senior Resource Alliance's annual directory and quarterly magazine.

Alzheimer's Association

The local chapter of the Alzheimer's Association serves 31 counties with education and support as well as raising funds for research.  The nonprofit is dedicated to enhancing care and support for all affected; and to reducing the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.

Alzheimer's Resource Center

The Alzheimer's Resource Center is dedicated to providing education and support services for those families (and professionals) who care for people with Alzheimer's Disease and related dementias. The local nonprofit's focus is on "the forgotten victim", the caregiver.

Community Care for the Elderly

The Community Care for the Elderly is the "lead agency" in Orange County and provides caregiving services to frail elders age 60+ whose eligibility is based on the clients' inability to perform daily tasks such as bathing, grooming, meal preparation.  These services help frail elders live independently in their own homes.

Lifelong Learning Institute

The Winter Park Public Library's Life Long Learning Institute offers classes and events that focus on positive aging.  It is open to all Central Floridians. 

Orange County Consumer Fraud Unit

The Orange County Consumer Fraud Unit investigates consumer complaints in Orange County.  It is a partnership with the Office of the State Attorney.

Orlando SeniorNet

Orlando SeniorNet is part of a national nonprofit that offers computer classes specifically designed for adults age 50 and older. Orlando SeniorNet offers a low-cost, friendly introduction to using computers. 

Senior Resource Alliance

The local Area Agency on Aging houses the Aging and Disability Resource Center, which acts as a clearinghouse for information on senior services in Central Florida.

Seniors First

The Orange County nonprofit provides the meals on wheels, neighborhood lunch program, home improvement, guardianship, stepping stone medical equipment, financial counseling, wisdom works.

Share the Care

Share the Care is a local nonprofit agency that helps families keep their frail family member at home, delaying or eliminating the need for nursing home care.
