The Continuing Compliance Section is tasked with the periodic inspections of over 32,000 commercial occupancies.  The following occupancies are routinely inspected by this Section:

• Public School Alternative Education Facilities 
• Community Colleges
• Private Schools
• State of Florida Licensed Assisted Living Facilities
• Correctional Facilities
• Hospitals 
• State of Florida Licensed Nursing Homes 
• State of Florida Licensed Day Cares
• Residental Child Care Facilities
• Adult Family Care Homes
• Unlicensed (Exempt) Day Cares
• Residental Board and Care
• State of Florida Licensed Drug Treatment Centers
• State of Florida Licensed Crisis Centers
• State of Florida Licensed Facilities for the Developmentally Disable

The Section routinely monitors fires and losses in all occupancies and may concentrate inspections of those occupancies to reduce further losses.

Complaints and citizen inquiries about the fire safety of all occupancies are also handled by this Section.
