The International Drive Section is part of Downtown Orange County and is responsible for all inspections along the International Drive corridor which is over 13 ½ miles long and includes buildings assessed at over 4 billion dollars. International Drive also contains over 33,000 hotel rooms and over 3,500 timeshares to serve our visitors.
The Orange County Convention Center is the second largest convention center in the United States. The Orange County Convention Center provides over $1 Billion in economic impact to the Central Florida annually, supporting over 1,000 local businesses. Additionally 26,000 jobs were created, and 1.6 million attendees and guests come to the International Drive area every year.
The International Drive Section responsibilities include plan review and inspection of all trade shows held at the orange County Convention Center and all other hotel and convention center venues in the area. The use of pyrotechnics and large tents in the area are also regulated by this Section.
