Prepares high school students seeking a career in the emergency services profession. This is a partnership with Orange County Public Schools. Through dual enrollment, high school seniors will attend a half-day at Mid Florida Tech, where valuable education and training are provided. Upon successful completion of the Tech-Prep EMT Program, students that meet the state requirements are allowed to earn their Florida Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification. These candidates may be given hiring preferences based on successful completion of the Tech-Prep Program and the OCFRD Firefighter Recruit Hiring Process.
