The Stormwater Management Divisionprovides engineering support for the implementation of a County-wide stormwater management program. The Division is responsible for analyzing and designing stormwater improvements for primary and secondary drainage systems in OrangeCounty's twelve (12) drainage basins and assisting other OrangeCounty departments with stormwater needs.
The Stormwater Management Division is also responsible for implementation of the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) flood plain management program, the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and the Community Rating System (CRS); and, along with other departments, participates in the National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) and Total Maximum Daily Program (TMDL).
