The Innovation Way Interchange Phase II - Beachline Interchange is a regionally significant transportation facility providing east Orange County with a much needed mobility option and forms a critical link in the overall Innovation Way corridor. In March of 2006 a public/private agreement was approved between the Orange County Board of County Commissioners, Orlando-Orange County Expressway Authority (OOCEA) and the developers of the International Corporate Park (ICP). However, the property owned by ICP went through a change in ownership. The new owner, Suburban Land Reserve, Inc. (SLR) is working on a new agreement between Orange County Board of County Commissioners and the Orlando-Orange County Expressway Authority. The agreement outlines each party's obligation in completing the interchange project. SLR's obligation provides construction plans detailing the engineering aspect of the project, dedication of right-of-way needed to build the improvement and environmental permitting and mitigation. OOCEA will perform the bidding and construction of the new interchange along with modifications necessary to tie into the existing interchange ramps. Orange County is providing project development oversight and partial construction funding. The following link is a representative concept plan for the interchange project:
