The improvements consist of constructing a four lane divided urban type roadway with curb and gutter, sidewalk and bicycle lane on both side of the road and closed drainage system. Storm water from the project area will be collected through inlets and conveyed by a network of pipes to a retention/detention pond. The improvements also include a signal at the intersection of Clarcona-Ocoee/Edgewater Drive, street lighting and landscaping work within the project limits.
The final design includes plans for maintaining traffic flow during construction and providing access to adjacent properties during construction. The right-of-way map will detail the additional right-of-way need for the project.
The project includes expansion of an existing at grade crossing of the Florida Central Railroad with Edgewater Drive. The improvements will also include a new at grade railroad crossing with the realigned All American Boulevard.
All-American Boulevard is located within the Wekiva River Hydrologic Basin of the St. Johns River Water Management District (SJRWMD) and within most effective recharge area. Construction of the stormwater management system will require permitting through the SJRWMD, Army Corps of Engineers and must also comply with Orange County requirements. |
