The realignment and widening of All American Boulevard project begins at Clarcona-Ocoee/Edgewater Drive intersection and ends approximately 600 foot west of Forest City Road.  The total length of this project is about 0.70 miles

The project will serve the local and regional traffic demands, and is consistent with the Orange County Comprehensive Plan.  The need for this project was identified in the All American Boulevard Preliminary Engineering Report completed in October 2001.

Design Components (General typical section items)

The improvements consist of constructing a four lane divided urban type roadway with curb and gutter, sidewalk and bicycle lane on both side of the road and closed drainage system.  Storm water from the project area will be collected through inlets and conveyed by a network of pipes to a retention/detention pond. The improvements also include a signal at the intersection of Clarcona-Ocoee/Edgewater Drive, street lighting and landscaping work within the project limits.

The final design includes plans for maintaining traffic flow during construction and providing access to adjacent properties during construction.  The right-of-way map will detail the additional right-of-way need for the project.

The project includes expansion of an existing at grade crossing of the Florida Central Railroad with Edgewater Drive.  The improvements will also include a new at grade railroad crossing with the realigned All American Boulevard.

All-American Boulevard is located within the Wekiva River Hydrologic Basin of the St. Johns River Water Management District (SJRWMD) and within most effective recharge area.  Construction of the stormwater management system will require permitting through the SJRWMD, Army Corps of Engineers and must also comply with Orange County requirements.
