There are several areas located along the project corridor that will be considered as jurisdictional wetlands by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (ACOE), the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD), and Orange County Environmental Protection Department (EPD). Field surveys are complete and on-site meetings are underway with these agencies to establish wetland limits. Impacts to any of these wetlands will require permitting with the ACOE, SFWMD, and Orange County EPD and will require mitigation of wetland impacts.

Proposed improvements to CR 535 Segments C through E will include construction of a stormwater management system including storm sewers and stormwater retention areas. These systems will be designed to meet the permitting requirements of SFWMD and Orange County. These requirements included treatment and retention of flow from the project. Stormwater management system design is underway and preliminary discussions are being scheduled with SFWMD.
