The Holden Avenue project is currently in the Design Phase.
The final design has been initiated. Over the next 12 months, construction plan submittals for the improvements to Holden Avenue will be provided to the County at 30%, 60%, 90%, 100%, and final completion.
30% Construction plans have been completed. Design surveys are on going along Holden Avenue from John Young Parkway to Orange Blossom Trail, at the proposed retention ponds at the northeast corner of John Young Parkway and Holden Avenue, and on the north shore of Lake Tyler. Soil borings will be taken during the months of July and August along the entire project and at the proposed retention ponds.
Additional right-of-way will be required for road right-of-way, stormwater ponds, and temporary construction easements and/or slope easements may be needed to blend the proposed improvements with existing conditions. Right-of-Way acquisition at a future date to be determined.
For further information regarding the right-of-way acquisition process, please see the Contact Information page for the appropriate Orange County representative.
The construction is scheduled to start in October 2007 and end September 2010. The estimated cost of construction is $5.4 million.
