One of the main objectives of the RCA process is to get residents, property and business owners, and community organizations involved in the project development and decision-making process. Several forums will be available for you to voice your opinions, concerns, and ideas. Your input will help the County develop the best possible improvement plan for Valencia College Lane (VCL). In addition to this web site, there are several forums for you to become informed and involved during the RCA process. Public information meetings and other meetings that will be held throughout the study are described below. Dates, location, and times of these meetings will be posted on this site as soon as they are scheduled. |

Introductory/Kick-off Public Meeting |

(November 20, 2002, 6:30 p.m., Union Park Elementary School - 1600 North Dean Road, Orlando)
The purpose of this meeting was to introduce the members of the Study Team, inform you of the study's initiation, its purpose, the activities to be performed, and the study schedule. The Study Team also presented the initial alternative improvement concepts for review and comment.

Alternatives Information Public Workshop |

(6:00 p.m., Thursday, May 1, 2003 - Colonial 9th Grade Center - 7775 Valencia College Lane)
The purpose of this meeting presented alternative improvement concepts that had been identified and evaluated. The Study Team presented the preliminary preferred alternative for review and comment.

Preferred Concept Public Meeting |

(6:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 22, 2003 - Colonial 9th Grade Center - 7775 Valencia College Lane)
The purpose of this meeting was to present the most suitable improvement(s) for VCL based on technical analysis and public input from previous meetings. A draft recommended improvement concept was presented for review and comment.

Small Group Meetings |

The study team will be available for meetings with various organizations. These meetings and/or presentations will be available to informal homeowners groups, formal homeowners associations or other interested parties.

Local Planning Agency (LPA) Work Session and Public Hearing |
 |
|
(Workshop - 9:00 AM, Thursday, November 20, 2003 - *No Public Comment Allowed)
Presentations will be made to the Orange County LPA on two occasions. The first presentation will follow an informal workshop format, and the second will be a formal meeting conducted and advertised as a formal public hearing. These meetings will serve as a forum to present the study team's recommended improvement concept.
