Commissioner Segal to lead celebration

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – District 5 Commissioner Bill Segal will join the Orange County Parks and Recreation Division in celebrating the groundbreaking for the Orange County Orlando Magic Recreation Center. The event will take place Friday, July 24, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. at Goldenrod Park. 

Former Orlando Magic player Bo Outlaw will be on hand to take part in the celebration.


Goldenrod Park, the parking lot and playground will be closed during the construction.  Citizens will still have access to the trails and the bathrooms at the site.  The completion date for the Goldenrod Recreation Center is scheduled for the summer of 2010.
