311 TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR

Pay Grade: 016

FLSA Status: Exempt 

General Functions
   Plans, develops, and implements training programs for 311 Service Center Specialists. Develops programs to inform citizens of the 311 Call Center and its services. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Division ‘s Assistant Manager.
 
Representative Duties /Assignments
  
  • Develops, implements, and conducts training classes and training manuals for Service Center Specialists. Classes include new hire training and refresher training as required.
  • Analyzes and implements assessment methods to determine training and developmental needs.
  • Liaisons with County Departments to research training needs and to ensure all necessary information is included in training modules.
  • Conducts informational presentations to schools, homeowner associations, senior citizen groups, governmental agencies, and other groups on the use of 311.
  • Recommends and coordinates training programs to meet the Call Center and citizens’ needs.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
 
Minimum Qualifications
   Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Education, Psychology, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field, and three years of training and development experience, two of which must have been developing, coordinating, and implementing training programs, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
