Responsible professional and administrative work directing and coordinating administrative activities with direct responsibility for various programs. Provides operational support and supervises staff in administering programs and operations.
Exercises considerable independence, sound judgment and initiative. Work is performed under the supervision and direction of assigned Manager or Department Director.
Representative Duties /Assignments
Duties may vary based on area of assignment.
Responsible for training; employee relations; payroll; contract, procurement and budget administration; fiscal management and cost analysis; management of information systems, emergency management; or strategic planning.
Responsible for budget coordination, amendments and revenue projections. Monitors operational budget, inventory control processes and fiscal standards.
Evaluates, researches, recommends and monitors the implementation of administrative and operational policies, practices and procedures. Maintains performance measures and oversees reporting.
Direct supervision of maintenance services, customer service and/or employee information components, which may include training, professional development, recruitment, performance management, publication of internal newsletter, brochures, and new employee orientation.
Handles intergovernmental and county division coordination processes for disaster preparedness and other administrative initiatives.
Participates in special projects, tasks, and correspondence as required by the manager, department director or County Administration.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Accounting, Finance, or closely related field and four years experience in administrative services, fiscal administration, or human resources, to include one year of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant education, training or experience.
May be required to demonstrate advanced proficiency in spreadsheets, database, word processing, or email software, preferably Microsoft Office.

Experience with the administration of Code Enforcement Boards and knowledge of state laws and local ordinances pertaining to code enforcement.
