Provides professional and technical services requiring a high level of expertise in technology programs and is responsible for various projects under the guidance of the supervisor. Serves as a project manager and business analyst for business system design, development and implementation. This position also provides technical assistance to support staff and customers for all department business applications, serves as one of the department information and data experts, and participates in new system/projects design.
Representative Duties /Assignments
Analyzes business processes and data management practices to support business process modernization.
Provides technical assistance to support staff and customers for all department business applications.
Assists supervisor as department information and data expert and procedural consultant, providing analysis and customer service.
Participates in new system design and development projects to ensure data is accurate and process is efficient.
Analyzes business practices to educate and assists customers in utilizing systems to improve practices.
Provides customer training on new or existing data application functions and data processing procedures.
Conducts data audits, quality assurance reviews, statistical data gathering reviews and data reporting services.
Monitors trend in data quantity, disk utilization, quality and overall volume.
Serves as team leader for major Department project implementations as technology systems development.
Serves as the customer point of contact for training on new or existing applications.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Data Processing, Business or Public Administration or closely related field and five (5) years of project management, systems analysis, technical assistance or customer support experience. Experience should include at least one year of systems analysis or business analysis. Experience with document management systems, government business information systems, and/or Microsoft development platforms.
Preferences
Prefer applicants with prior experience working in government.
