(BUSINESS UNIT) BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST

Pay Grade: 015

FLSA Status: Exempt 

General Functions
   Provides professional and technical services involving the analysis of business practices, data capture methods, data quality, data integrity and overall system utilization. Analyze current practices and procedures, data capture practices and educate customers to improve quality and systems.
 
Representative Duties /Assignments
   Provide technical assistance to support staff and customers for all department business applications. Serve as department information and data expert and procedural consultant, providing analysis and customer service. Conducts data audits, quality assurance reviews, statistical data gathering reviews and data reporting services. Monitors trend in data quantity, disk utilization, quality and overall volume. Gathers and disseminates pertinent data and statistical raw data reports.

Serves as a liaison to other agencies regarding data interface, exchange, procedures, quality and analysis. Participate in new system design and development projects to ensure data captures practice accuracy, quality and efficient procedure.

Analyzes business practices to educate and assist customers in utilizing systems to improve practices. Provides customer training on new or existing data application functions and data processing procedures. Assists customers by providing first-line troubleshooting and help services by participating in on-call call customer service.
 
Minimum Qualifications
   Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Processing, Business or Public Administration or a closely related field and three years of data and information management experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant education, training or experience.
