911 TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR

Pay Grade: 016

FLSA Status: Exempt 

General Functions
   Plans, develops and coordinates training programs for 911 operators and citizens. General supervision is provided by the 9-1-1 Systems Manager.
 
Representative Duties /Assignments
  
  • Develop standardized training for 9-1-1 operators.
  • Creates and coordinates develop training programs for 9-1-1 call-takers countywide.
  • Analyzes various methods to assess the training and developmental needs for 9-1-1 operators and citizens and makes recommendations.
  • Assesses training and development needs for 9-1-1 and citizens of Orange County.
  • Develops training implementation plan for Orange County 9-1-1 and citizens.
  • Recommends and coordinates training programs to meet our 0-1-1 and citizens needs.
  • Liaison with each of the 10 PSAPs and other education programs.
 
Minimum Qualifications
   Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Education, Psychology, Business Administration, Public Administration or a related field and three years of training and development experience, two of which must have been developing, coordinating and implementing training programs.
