Adoption event

What is Barktoberfest?

Our fifth annual Barktoberfest is an appreciation event to celebrate the partnership between Orange County Animal Services and the rescue community. Animal Services works with more than 80 rescue groups that aid in the recovery and adoption of many homeless animals. This event will have dozens of these rescued pets available for adoption. Along with adoptable animals there will also be delicious food trucks, pet microchipping and rabies vaccines, pet-related vendors and more!

How was last year’s Barktoberfest?

The event put the “wow” in “bow wow!” Last year’s event drew in approximately 10,000 people and helped raise awareness for the rescue groups and vendors. More than 50 animals were adopted as a result of the event!

When and where is Barktoberfest?

Barktoberfest is taking place this year on Saturday, September 26 from
10 a.m. through 4 p.m. The event will be located in the south east grassy area of Lake Eola in downtown Orlando.

How can my rescue group or pet-related business participate in Barktoberfest?

Barktoberfest is our way of saying “thank you” to our registered rescue partners so we’re inviting each and every one of them to attend. Are you a rescue group not currently registered with our shelter? For more information about our program, visit our Animal Services Partners page.

Are you a local pet-related business interested in attending? We welcome you to complete the registration form! We ask that vendors contribute a $75 donation to our shelter to allow us to continue doing events such as this in the future.

The Registration Form can be found on the left sidebar.
