Orange County Provides Community Funding Forum for Nonprofit Organizations

Orange County, FL – The Orange County Citizens’ Commission for Children is hosting a Community Funding Forum and Workshops for Orange County’s nonprofit community working in the health and human services field. Geared toward capacity building, the Community Funding Forum will provide nonprofit organizations valuable information and resources to improve and enhance the organization’s ability to achieve its mission and sustain itself over time.

Nonprofit organizations are invited to attend the forum on Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. to learn about many of the funding opportunities that may be available to them. The event will be held in the Dolphin Room at Barnett Park, 4801 W. Colonial Drive, Orlando. Approximately nine grantors (funding agencies) will provide an overview of the funding that is available through their organizations and elaborate on their funding criteria. A representative from National Entrepreneurship Center (NEC) will be present to discuss their role with the nonprofit community. The University of Central Florida will also provide two afternoon workshops that will offer tips on effective leadership and board development.

Advance registration is required for attendance. Sessions will be free and limited to the first 100 registered participants. Preference will be given to those organizations that have a 501c3 (or are in the process of obtaining one). Space can be reserved by leaving your name and contact information at kim.richards@ocfl.net or by calling (407) 836-7610. Interested nonprofit agencies should register today!
