The REC SQUAD is a PAID afterschool recreation program for elementary and middle school age students. The program is Monday-Friday taking place August 22, 2011- June 7, 2012. Time is Afterschool-6:00pm. The weekly cost for the program is $30 regular fee, $20 reduced lunch fee, $15 free lunch fee & $7.50 food stamps. A letter showing which program the child is in is required in order to qualify for the lower fees. The program will consist of sports, games, arts-n-crafts, guest speakers, some small field trips and much more!! There will be something exciting going on each day. There are lots of fun, FREE, educational and recreational activities to get involved in after school at any of the 28 middle school locations throughout Orange County. The Zone provides prevention and intervention programs through offering positive alternatives to middle school youth after the school bell rings. The Zone offers a variety of activities to include tutoring, drama, the arts, music, gaming, cooking, career exploration, community service opportunities and much more. Your child deserves a great summer! Our After School Zone summer component, known as the Summer Zone, is held June through July and delivers plenty of fun and learning over the summer break.
