The Hidden Pond Preserve is located in east Orange County off of SR 520 and is managed by Orange County Environmental Protection Division. Hidden Pond provides a unique opportunity for viewing Florida’s marvelous native flora and fauna. Visitors may hike among mesic flatwoods and basin swamps, before stopping at a scenic picnic area with a view of the pond for which the preserve is named. Hikers have the chance to observe a plethora of wildflowers, butterflies, deer, and birds while appreciating ongoing conservation and restoration efforts.
Amenities include picnic areas, benches, a parking lot, informational kiosks, and marked trails of varying difficulty. Future plans for the preserve include educational signage and an observation pier.
