Orange County has initiated a comprehensive review of Landstar Boulevard. Landstar Boulevard is a four-lane roadway from Osceola Parkway to north of Fairway Woods Boulevard and a two–lane roadway from north of Fairway Woods Boulevard to Wetherbee Road. The corridor is primarily surrounded by residential, mixed strip retail, and institutional land uses, which are typical to C3R Suburban Residential. The posted speed limit ranges from 40 mph to 45 mph within the study limits. The study area focuses on the roadway limits of Landstar Boulevard from Osceola Parkway to Wetherbee Road approximately 3.8 miles located in south Orange County, FL.
The purpose of this study is to provide for the safe integration of pedestrians and bicyclists, and other modes of transportation along the corridor. The study includes traffic data collection, analysis of the field-collected traffic data, historical crash data, development of proposed safety and operational improvements including alternative intersection designs (restricted crossing U-turn (RCUT) intersections, roundabouts, etc.) using FDOT’s Intersection Control Evaluation (ICE), pedestrian/bicycle/transit facility enhancements.
The study is ongoing and is anticipated to be completed in the Fall of 2026.
Continue to monitor this site for upcoming public meetings. First meeting is anticipated in January/February 2027.
