COVID-19 Emergency Assistance Available
LIHEAP Crisis Benefit may be used to connect or reconnect home energy and past due bills only. Citizens may receive two Crisis benefits for LIHEAP Fiscal Year.
LIHEAP Home Energy Credit may be used to help eligible households in meeting the costs of home energy. An emergency or crisis is not an eligibility requirement for this type of benefit. Citizen may receive one Home Energy Credit in a 12 month period.
This is used upon declaration or order by the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, Governor or President, that a crisis or emergency exists due to weather-related conditions.

For eligibility, you must submit the following required documents with the energy bill assistance application:
You may apply by completing the FASTRACK ONLINE APPLICATION FOR ASSISTANCE, sign the application and upload all required documents from the document list above. All required documents must be uploaded at the time of the online application submission for consideration of services. Any incomplete applications without proper documentation will not be processed.
Due to COVID-19, our offices are not conducting face-to-face interviews. Fastrack Online Application available Monday – Wednesdays from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. You may contact our office for alternative ways to apply.
Important Notice: LIHEAP will not be accepting applications during the week of July 11-15, 2022. LIHEAP will resume accepting applications starting July 18th.
The Orange County Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) is available to help tenants who have fallen behind on their rent due to COVID-19. This federally funded program can pay up to 12 months of rental arrears and up to 3 months of future rent for a maximum of $30,000 for qualified households. If you were recently approved for LIHEAP Home Energy assistance, then you meet the household income requirement for ERAP. Simply provide your LIHEAP approval letter as proof of income when you apply.
