How to Apply for Permits

Application Process & Forms

The Orange County Environmental Protection Division reviews plans, issues permits, performs inspections and pursues enforcement for any activity that will cause a negative impact on the natural resources of Orange County.

Conservation Area Authorization
For minor work within wetlands/conservation areas.

Construct a Boat Ramp Facility
Private, semi-private or commercial.

Construct a Boat Dock
(Special District applications established in Chapter 33 will be under review for a minimum of 35 days from the date received.)

Lakeshore Protection
(Special District applications established in Chapter 33 will be under review for a minimum of 30 days from the date received.)

Construct a Seawall (Shoreline Alteration/Dredge and Fill)
These permits must be approved by the Board of County Commissioners.

Conservation (Wetland) Area Impact

  • A reduced fee for minor modifications to previously issued Conservation Area Impact permits may be available to you. Refer to Orange County Fee Directory to learn more.
