Eviction Prevention in the Community (EPIC) is an eviction and foreclosure prevention program for Orange County families.

Who We Help

  • Families with minor children in the home who are behind in rent or mortgage for two or more months or have received an eviction notice from the court system and are in imminent risk of homelessness

How We Help

  • Financial assistance to stop the eviction or foreclosure process
  • Budget and financial management counseling
  • Information and referrals to community resources
  • Office and home visits

Minimum Qualifications

  • U.S. citizen or legal resident status
  • Established Orange County resident for at least 90 days
  • Behind two or more months on rent or mortgage or under a court filed legal eviction or foreclosure in Orange County, Florida
  • Minor children living in household
  • Insufficient resources to stop the eviction or foreclosure process
  • Employed with sufficient income to verify future financial management
  • Willing to participate in case management services to stabilize the household and prevent future evictions or foreclosures
  • Eligibility is limited to twice-in-a-lifetime

How Do I Request Help?

  • Call the EPIC message line at 407-836-6514 to be screened.
  • Leave a message with your full name, phone number, and your court case number for court-ordered evictions or foreclosures (For example: 2024-CC-001234-O).
  • Program staff will contact you for an eligibility screening within two business days.
