Trail Closures
  • Orange County will pave the Summerlake Trail for up to five days from Monday, August 21, to Friday, August 25, from Surf Bird Street north and west to Porter Road; that section of trail will be CLOSED (view map). As an alternative, trail users should reroute onto existing sidewalk networks inside the community to get around the work area.
  • From Monday, August 28, to Friday, September 1, Orange County will repair trail sections that are east of Surf Bird Street to the east end of Porter Road (view map). Trail users should avoid that section of trail and reroute inside the community.

    Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings and District 1 Commissioner Nicole Wilson hosted the groundbreaking ceremony for Summerlake Park on March 27, 2023.
