Tree Removal Permit

Amendments to Orange County Code Chapter 15, Article VIII, Tree Protection and Removal and Chapter 24, Landscaping, Buffering and Open Space were adopted by the Board of County Commissioners on September 12, 2023 by Ordinance 2023-35 . The changes to these sections of the code will go into effect on March 15, 2024.

1. Complete and submit an application for a Tree Removal Permit (Developed Property).
2. Attach a site map indicating trees slated for removal.
3. You may submit In-Person or online to ZoningInternetMail@ocfl.net
4. Application is reviewed by the Zoning Division Arborists for compliance with the County regulations. Other affected divisions may review such as Development Engineering and Environmental Protection Division.
5. For approved applications, conditions of approval may be imposed.
6. The permit is issued to the contractor or property owner.
7. The permit expires after 60 days of Permit issuance.

• Chapter 24 - Landscaping, Buffering and Open Space 

• Zoning Arborist $80.00 (fee schedule).
• EPD $3 (if applicable)
• Development Engineering $38 (if applicable)
